<p>The spacers (4) are formed from sheet metal, each one having its sides folded to an open sided square or rectangular shape, with fixing claws (7). These spacers are assembled between the upper (1, 2) and lower (3) surfaces of the pallet and retained in place by a round tube (21) passing through the centre of each one and holes (19) in both surfaces. Each tube is a pressing (24, 25) and has crenellations (22, 23) top and bottom. To complete the pallet, each tube is squeezed so that the claws on its spacer bite into the wood and the crenellations are folded flat outwards against each pallet surface.</p> |
