<p>The alarm system is used for banks or similar and allows a coded alarm signal to be supplied to a surveillance point, e.g. the local police station, via the telephone lines. The surveillance point has means for decoding the received signal and using it to drive an alpha-numeric display, coupled to an audio and visual alarm circuit. The coded alarm signal is pref. provided in response to a foot pedal being depressed in response to a cash-drawer or safe being opened, or in response to an infrared barrier being broken. The coded alarm signal may simultaneously be supplied to several further locations, as well as to the surveillance point.</p> |
