<p>The system is for development of an electrostatic type latent image deposited on a support surface, and has a layer of developer smeared onto the flat surface of a element. The developer consists of image maker particles supported in an electrically insulative liquid or liquefiable support medium. Electric power is supplied to the developer to produce a particle free region of support medium above the market particles. The element is brought very near to the image forming surface so that the particle free region contacts the copy surface allowing the market particles to migrate from the surface of the donator element on to the electrostatically charged latent image surface.</p> |
