<p>A weftless tape comprising of free or unwoven filaments, fibres or the like of various materials embedded in a matrix which is usually synthetic resin of the hot melt type. By heat softening such composition, the tape may be adhesively applied to another surface for direct bandings of the tape filaments. The tape is completely enveloped from end to end with the hot melt adhesive. The filaments are arranged in a single row or in a plurality of superimposed rows. Tapes are used for tying or binding purposes or for use as sealing end tear strips.</p> |
