The perimetric eye examination apparatus has an examination surface preferably of internal hemispherical shape with a datum point and a number of small- diameter light sources energised in groups. The sources are in the form of luminous diodes. The light emitted can be regulated by a resistance controlling the supply current to the diodes. The intensity of light emitted by them can be arranged to increase from the centre of the surface examined towards the outside of it. The datum point can be a luminous diode. Additional colour test can be carried out using diodes of different colour intensities.
