PURPOSE: To obtain a photocell device constituted by many photocells and having relatively low material cost and improved stability by forming the photocells having a plurality of polycrystalline thin-film layers, each including a CdTe layer on a vitreous base material, connecting them in series, providing back caps at an opposite side to the base material and filling desiccating agent in the gap. CONSTITUTION: The thin-film photoelectric panel comprises a large number of photocells 22, each having a plurality of polycrystalline thin-film layers 44, 46, at least one 46 of which is constituted by CdTe, which are adhered onto a vitreous base material 12, and at least one of which forms a photoelectric heterojunction for each of the numerous photocells 22, so that the photocells 22 are connected in series. A back cap 34 of a sheet material is disposed at an opposite side of the material 12 with respect to the numerous photocells 22, and gaps 56 are formed between the many photocells 22 and an inside surface of the cap 24. The cap 24 forms a hermetric seal with the material 12 around a periphery of the many photocells 22 to protect the photocells 22, and desiccating agent 58 is filled in the gaps 56. |
