PURPOSE:To obtain a halofluoromethane useful as a modifying agent of drug from inexpensive raw materials simply and in high yield by reacting a dihalomethane with fluorine in the presence of bromine. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I (X1 and X2 are Cl or Br) is reacted with fluorine in the presence of bromine at -50 to 20 deg.C to give a compound shown by formula II. Since fluorine itself has excessively vigorous reactivity, fluorine is preferably eluted with an inert gas such as N2, He, Ar, CF4 or SF6 into 5-20wt.% F2 concentration and used. The amount of bromine existing with fluorine is preferably >=0.5mol based on 1mol fluorine. The reac tion may be carried out using a solvent such as Freon 113 (CCl2F-CClF2) or Freon 12 (CCl2F2). |
