<p>An expandable moulding machine, for casting rigid foam profile angle posts on to the fluted end faces of rigid foam walls or wall details for cold storage rooms, has a mould with a fixed projecting baseplate. This supports the refrigeration room wall end, which is laid on horizontally, and there is a standing backplate which receives the reinforcing corner plate to be cast into the angle post. The reinforcement plate of the wall section overlaps the leg of the corner plate which lies horizontally on the baseplate. Above the baseplate of the mould there is a hinged cover, with on its inner surface, a recess to give the desired profile, such as a tongue, to the angle post, and there are details enclosing the ends of the mould which can be adjusted in position. The arrangement is easily handled and adjustable to suit different size rooms. The injection openings are in the top of the cover, and the pivot rods for the cover can be locked at the dead point so that the mould is held closed at the high pressure necessary for foaming. Two angle posts can be cast on to a wall section simultaneously.</p> |
