<p>The machine has a cylinder with a pneumatic piston pressing against the advancing turns. The cylinder is rigidly attached to a movable support automatically adjusted as the number of turns increases. Several limit switches (4, 4-, 6) inside the cylinder (1) are actuated according to the position of the piston (8). A compensating device is switched in or out as the piston reaches the front or rear dead centre of the cylinder. The shifting speed of the support (7) depends on the growth in the number of turns. It shifts until the piston is approximately in the centre of the cylinder. The compensating unit consists of an additional gear box (5).</p> |
