Lock nut for thin mortice lock - uses handle spring to ensure play free contact with handle mandrel

The lock handle mandrel nut as used in flat mortice locks of reduced thickness. This think lock is especially suitable for example as mortice lock for metal frame doors. The lock handle nut has carrier for connection to the lock spring and casyres play free holding of handle mandrel. The nut body (2) is enclosed by the handle restoring spring. The nut body is not directly connected with the catch (23) and the carrier (20) is mounted on the nut body (2). A pin in the lock bottom projects through a radial opening of the nut body (2) by a small extent into a corner of the square hole (3).
