Ridges (50) may extend across the lid adjacent apertures 30 to strengthen the lid. The hinge connecting a locking flap 31 to the base resiliently biases the flap into engagement with the inside surface of the front wall 21<SP>1</SP> of the lid. The carton may be of foamed plastics. The bottom of each egg cell 15 is curved upwardly. |
