<p>1494598 Windings for dynamo-electric machines SINGER CO 20 April 1976 [25 June 1975] 15787/76 Heading H2A A dynamo-electric machine rotor comprises electrically conductive wire spanning the space between two apertured guide discs 55 on a shaft 75 to form the active portion of the rotor winding, the wire extending through the apertures in the discs to form end windings at the outer faces of the discs. The discs may be located by shoulders on the shaft or by the ends of a tube 77 of electrically insulating material surrounding the shaft. There may be one or more additional guide discs 65 at each end of the rotor, part of the end winding at each end of the rotor, being located in the space or spaces between the guide discs and the remaining part being located outside the outermost guide disc. The entire rotor winding may be embedded in synthetic resin 90, Fig. 3. The rotor shown has no ferromagnetic core.</p> |
