<p>A 3-way solenoid operated piston valve has a tubular valve body (1) which is located inside the magnetic coil (3) with one end. The valve inlet is axially through the free end of the valve body tube. The two outlet ports (20, 21) are located radially side by side near the operating coil mounting sleeve (13). The valve piston (2) has a hole (23) which allows a medium flow from the axial end face (18) to a ring chamber between piston and valve tube. A compression spring (19) locates the piston in a position where the flow is through the piston cross hole to outlet port (21). When the solenois is energised, the piston is retracted and the medium flows directly to the outlet port (20).</p> |
