<p>The trisubstituted (2,5-dihydroxyphenyl)phosphonium hydroxide inner salts and their hydrolyzed derivatives are novel latent catalysts for promoting reaction between vicinal epoxides and phenols and/or carboxylic acids (or anhydrides). Precatalyzed epoxy resins are easily prepared using such catalysts.</p> |
