Cover for masking vehicle body openings - has bracket and flange clamping on opening after exhaust pipe removal

Arrangement for covering of openings in the vehicle body are used for vehicles with rear mounted engines. The opening cover is used when the conventional exhaust system pipes are removed on converting the exhaust system into a heat exchanger for heating purposes. The openings are covered for improving the appearance. The twin exhaust arrangements have a pair of cover plates adapted to shape of openings and overlapping it slightly. The fastening brackets are held on the inner side of the covering plates. An inner bracket engages with the body opening upper edge and the plate lower horizontal flange has openings for fastening screws holding on the body.
