Sandwich box plastic container - has base tray and removable hinged lid and depressions on rear tray wall to receive pins on lid

The plastic container used e.g. for a sandwich box has a tray and a removable hinged lid. The rear wall (1a) of the base has at least one outward open depression (2) into which fits a pin (3) which projects from the lid and has a shape corresponding to the inner contour of the depression. A hinge-linked connection is formed between tray and lid. The longitudinal axis of the depression is approx. at right angles to the base. The depression is cylindrical in shape and the segment floor surface (2a) of the depression takes up at least 60% of the circular surface of the depression's circular cross-section. The depression is kept to a minimum so that production is simplified and the costs are minimised.
