Binding for fastening end of rotor winding on electrical machine - is cylindrical and has two sections of different thickness

The electrical machine has a binding for the end of the rotor winding which consists of a cylindrical casing with a thick section (2) connected endwise to a thin section (3). The thick section (2) encloses the end part of the rotor winding (4), while the thin section (3) extends over the main part of the winding (5). The extreme end of the thin part is in physical contact with the winding (5) and there is a ring (7) to prevent axial movement. At the end of the thick section (2) there is a similar ring holding a centering ring (6) on the inside of the cylindrical casing.
