The compression cylinder is charged with metered quantity of air or propellant gas by a pump or a compressed gas storage container. A valve plunger (4) is arranged within the compression cylinder (1) coaxially with the barrel. This plunger acts in conjunction with only the outlet. The rear end of the cylinder accommodates solenoid (3). This solenoid is energised by the trigger which connects solenoid to power source. The plunger is retracted against compressible rubber or plastics plug (6). This plug pushes plunger forward after firing. Hence the valve plunger is rapidly brought again into a sealing contact with the matching valve seat (5). This arrangement ensures rapid sealing and opening of the pneumatic system for firing purposes.
