1299247 Amino-ethers derived from 3-benzoylbenzofuran LABAZ 21 May 1971 [22 June 1970] 30257/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, wherein (a) n is 3, X is Br or I, R is C 2-6 alkyl, Ph or PhCH 2 and Am is Me 2 N, Et 2 N, Pr 2 N, pyrrolidino or piperidino; (b) n is 3, X is Cl, R is Et or Bu and Am is Et 2 N, Pr 2 N, pyrrolidino or piperidino; or (c) n is 4-6, X is I, R is Et or Bu and Am is Me 2 N, Et 2 N or piperidino. These compounds are prepared by (1) condensing the corresponding bromoalkoxybenzoylbenzofuran with Am-H, or (2) (when n=3) condensing the corresponding hydroxybenzoylbenzofuran with Z-(CH 2 ) 3 -Am, where Z is halogen or p-TsO. Therapeutic compositions for the treatment of angina pectoris by oral or rectal administration comprise compounds of the above formula. |
