摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To permit stored food to be subjected to microwave dielectric heating and steam-heating simultaneously without having its surface dired by forming a peripheral groove in a specific shape for storing water on the bottom of a container. CONSTITUTION:A peripheral groove 5 is formed on the bottom of a container 1. Thus standing waves 14a proceeding toward a radius are formed by microwaves 13a incident to a side wall 5a of the peripheral groove 5 while standing waves 14b proceeding approximately along an axis are formed by microwaves 13b incident to a bottom wall 5b (or water surface). The width of the peripheral groove is approximately 1/4.lambda, approximately 3/4.lambda or 5/4.lambda while depth is approximately 7mm or deeper. Thus by storing water in the peripheral groove 5 or in a groove by appropriate depth, stored food can be subjected to microwave dielectric heating and steam-heating simultaneously without having its surface dried.</p>
