<p>The attachment is drawn behind a tractor and driven from its power take-off. It comprises a transverse beam with heads for tilling and harrowing soil between rows of plants. Each head has an arm mounted on a pivot and provided with a cover. This prevents soil and stones being projected upwards onto the operator seated behind. The pivot allows the cover to follow the contours of the ground. The drive is by a train of gears driving the four bladed tiller, this assembly trailing behind the pivot. In front of this is a harrow point for breaking up the ground.</p> |
