<p>The mechanism guides lifting tables in a parallel path, having roller chains anchored to the table or support. The chains are reeved round sprockets (5) on the support or table, the sprockets being mounted on two rotating shafts. Thus when lifting or lowering the table (4) the sprockets and shafts rotate in opposite directions, keeping the table surface parallel to the base of the support (1) at each level. Lifting and lowering can be effected by hydraulic ram, or by motor driving one of the shafts. Instead of intersecting chains between the sprockets, there can be vertical ones (2,3) engaging with them, and mounted inside the support.</p> |
