The distillatory of an absorption cycle is placed in the combustion chamber of a stove or boiler. Evaporated refrigerant passes to a condenser and then absorbs heat from atmosphere in an evaporator. The vapour dissolves in water in an absorber before returning to the distillatory. Cold water is heated in the condenser and absorber and raised to a still higher temperature in a coil in the flue passage of the boiler. It is stored in a storage vessel. Atmospheric air from which heat is taken in the evaporator is discharged as cold air which can be used for air conditioning.
