In this process for producing and subsequently increasing the heat resistance of a phenolic resin moulding with a metal covering which surrounds the phenolic resin moulding, the production takes place by an injection moulding process, the metal covering being inserted into the mould before the injection moulding, whilst the increase in the heat resistance is carried out by a heat treatment. The aim of the invention is to produce a composite body comprising metal covering and phenolic resin moulding which is produced by injection moulding, is homogeneous and is free of cracks. To this end a metal covering with a porous structure is used in order that the volatile substances which escape from the phenolic resin moulding during the production and subsequent heat treatment can pass through the metal covering. |
