The switching matrix has time pulses for marking the control and selection criteria at inputs and outputs. Each output of a selection element and/or each group of outputs are assigned time pulses. The selection elements and/or the setting elements are assigned time pulses such that the output determined by control and/or selection criteria is given by coincidence between time pulses. Free outputs are flagged. A "busy" relay is installed in the test circuit for reach output and switches off the flag current when the output is occupied.
