The electrode device picks up low electrode body potentials on the skin. It consists of a conducting or a semi-conducting material. The body is brought into contact with the electrode by means of a very large number of pointed projections which are formed on the surface of the electrode itself. the pointed projections are such that they can penetrate the epidermal skin layer.
