<p>Strutting system for roadway support frames underground comprises spacer struts which are joined to the frames. The tie bolts (4) span the space between two frames (1, 2) and clasp round these at the ends by means of claws (6) with nuts (7) to hold the bolts to the frames at these points. Holders (17) fitted to the tie bolts are themselves secured to the spacer struts (3) between the respective support frames (1 and 2). It is pref. to secure the strutting tie bolts (4) to their respective frames by the claws as stated top and bottom, in a parallel arrangement. Clamping plates (8) may be screwed onto the threaded ends of the tie bolts (4), and be held on the associated claws and at the same time form the abutment for locking nuts (7).</p> |
