Discriminator for periodical signals - superimposed on stochastic signals by auto-correlation function produced in correlator for analyser

Discriminator for stochastic, periodical or stochastically superimposed periodical signals feeds the signals at time-dependent electrical voltage signals to a correlator. The latter produces by integration an autocorrelation function which is passed as a function of the signal delay time into an analyser. Discriminator may be used in dia. or cross-section sensor systems for the thread in spinning looms. Stochastic dia. fluctuations are therefore passed without interference. Periodical fluctuations which would produce a moire effect in the finished article are detected and the loom is stopped.
