Frame antenna composed of two Adcock halves - detects horizontally or vertically polarised waves using interconnection of dipole halves via decoupling circuit and transformers

The antenna has two Adcock halves, each consisting of two parallel dipoles whose top and bottom ends are connected by horizontal conductors, completing them to a frame. Each half of one dipole (1) is connected through a winding of one transformer (5), and each half of the other dipole is connected through a winding of another transformer (5') to an input (9-12) of the decoupling circuit. Halves of the dipoles (1, 2) are connected with each other through differential transformers (6, 6'). centre tappings of these are interconnected through a resistor (7) from which the voltage induced by the horizontal field component can be collected.
