The stacked column of spark gaps and voltage dependent resistors are pressed together by spring forces in insulating sockets. At least at one position in the stacked sockets (2) is mounted a central pressure transfer element (3), acting as a ball joint. The transfer element divides the stack in two identical halves. Preferably the pressure force of the transfer element is distributed on both sides over the stack base surface via pressure equalising discs (5), typically in the form of plate springs with natural prestress. The abutting parts of the transfer element may be in the form of such plate springs. The transfer element may be in the shape of a round disc with cylindrical protrusions on either side, engaging corresponding bores in the equalising discs.
|
