The outside door is for an external wall of a building, with one side in contact with outdoor air and the other facing the warm indoor air which can result in warping caused by differences in relative humidity on the two sides, in the winter months. It is made of wood, and has two, or more, steel or other metal strips joined to it, at an interval apart, extending over its whole height. - These are in the form of tension strips (13, 14) mounted in the area of the external side of the door. They serve to counteract any tendency for the wooden door to assume an outwards convex bulge. They can be hidden or exposed and shaped in various ways and screwed in position.
