The electrical installation unit, to be built into a recess has projections resting on the supporting surface. The device has slots on opposite sides of its box, in which V or U-shaped clamping springs are inserted. Their arms are fixed in the slots while the other arms have locking projections which grip after insertion behind the opening. The spring arm (7) in the slot has a locking projection (10) which enters in a recess (11) in the box (3) wall (4) and is held there. Forces acting on the spring's (6) other arm after insertion reinforce this action.
