The switch has a pivotally mounted switching lever in its housing, which can be brought from its centre OFF position into four operating positions in cross pattern about the centre position. The lever mounting permits resetting to the centre position automatically from any operating position. The lever end is connected to a rectangular junction plate, held by a compression spring on the switch housing. The free end of the lever deflects directly contact springs fastened to the switch housing which consists of a cap-shaped mounting part and a cap-shaped guide part, as in 2444808. The contact ends (24, 28) of the contact springs have sharp edges on the side facing the contact plate (15).
