The movable guide is for ductile leads between components which can be moved relative to each other. The guide housing is of variable length. This type of cable guide is necessary for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or similar coupling where the flexible lead is to be held straight as the movable components approach or recede. Three sleeves are provided to guide the leads and protect from damage. The sleeves are joined together by means of non-self locking threads of opposed pitch. The two outer sleeves are non-rotatably linked to the movable components. The middle sleeve is rotatable. It has cams to take up the leads as the outer sleeves change their distance apart.
