A typical frame consists of a plate stamped with openings to fit the photographic slides, and with a sheet of glass or transparent plastic on either side to hold the slides in place. Alternatively, the already individually framed slides can be retained in the stamped plate by spring clips, and the outer covers dispensed with. Or the outer covers can themselves be stamped plates, with openings smaller than a slide. The stamped plates the slides fit in, can be of any shape - square, oblong, circular, oval - and be stamped for slides of any size. They have provision for the substitution of slides. Possibly, they can be slid in and out without removing the outer covers.
|
