The desensitizing bath may consist of a solution of 3 to 20 wt. per cent of sodium sulphite (Na 2 S 2 O 5 ) and 5 to 30 wt. per cent of 30 % formalin in water. The first stage of dehydration is suitably effected with at least 36%isopropanol and in the second stage with anhydrous propanol to which 3 to 10 wt. per cent of 30 % formalin solution.
