1526421 Oximes IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 4 May 1976 [16 May 1975 (2)] 20888/75 and 20896/75 Heading C2C Novel oximes of the formula R-CH=NOH, wherein R is a group -CH 2 -CR<SP>1</SP>(CH 3 ) 2 in which R<SP>1</SP> is vinyl, 1-bromo-3,3,3-trichloropropyl, 1,3,3,3 - tetrachloropropyl, 1 - bromo- 3,3 - dichloroprop - 2 - enyl, 1,3,3 - trichloroprop - 2 - enyl or 3,3,3 trichloro - prop - 1 - enyl or R is a group in which R<SP>11</SP> is 2,2,2-trichloroethyl or 2,2-dichlorovinyl, are obtained by reacting aldehyde R-CHO with hydroxylamine or an acid addition salt thereof. The oximes may be converted to the corresponding nitriles R-C#N and carboxylic acid R-COOH. |
