The catchment piece (8) in the rear end of the grenade is distorted radially by the firing bullet, but not in the axial direction. It can be in the form of a cylindrical component with a central bore (9) fitting in a support piece (3) tapering in the axial direction and opening into a chamber or blind hole in the rear end of the grenade. A shoulder can be formed in the support piece where the chamber in it joins a taper hole, and against which the catchment piece bears. The central bore in the catchment piece can be appreciably smaller than the largest diameter of the taper hole in the support piece. |
