1480579 Diamines RICHARDSON-MERRELL Inc 3 June 1976 [25 Aug 1975) 22883/76 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1-4 =H, C 1-4 alkyl; X=O, S, SO 2 ; Y =O, # bond; m = 2-4; n = 1-4, but not 1 when Y=O) and their acid addition salts are prepared by the following route when R 1 , 2 = H and by condensing the starting material with H 2 N(CH 2 ) m NR 1 R 2 followed by reduction of the resulting Schiff base when R 1 and/or R 2 = alkyl. The product may be isolated as a salt. The preparation of the starting materials is described. The above compounds are antiviral agents and anticoagulants, and suppress immune response reactions. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical and veterinary preparations containing them in association with a carrier. |
