<p>The bending apparatus is designed to produce circular arc structures, especially bicycle wheels. It completes a work-bench (12) with a horizontal surface to feed the ship (1) to a vertical axle driven member (14, 15) which presses on the strip to form the U-channel shaped cross section. After section forming the strip passes to a segment former (17) having a circular arc edge profile (18). The strip is made to fit the shape by upwards movement of a roller (23) mounted on a rod in the vertical plane. The equipment also includes clamps to hold the workpiece during the forming operations, which are automatically controlled.</p> |
