1417928 Trisodium salt of carboxy methoxy succinic acid ETHYL CORP 5 Sept 1973 [11 Sept 1972] 41776/73 Heading C2C Pentahydrate trisodium salt of carboxy methoxy succinic acid is recovered in particulate form by evaporating an aqueous solution of the trisodium salt at about 87‹ C. or lower and then holding the concentrated solution at about 50‹ C. or lower to form the precipitate which is recovered. The evaporation temperature may be at 50‹ C. or below and the pressure may be autogenous or lower than the vapour pressure of the saturated solution. The salt may be used as a detergency builder. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,327,115.
