1503296 Switch contacts EUROPE MFG TRUST REG 6 Oct 1976 [22 Nov 1975] 41507/76 Heading H1N In an electric switch having at least one fixed or movable contact 7, Fig. 2 adjustable by a screw 4, an intermediate component 15 transmits the axial movement while permitting rotation of the screw 4 and has locating means preventing relative rotation between the intermediate member 4 and the contact 7. The screw 4 has a bearing region 23 on the end of central projection 35 on which the intermediate component 15 rests at its co-operating projection 18. The upper end of the component 15 has a slot (20) Fig. 3 (not shown) for non-rotatable engagement with the contact 7. In a second embodiment in which the movable contact 8, Fig. 4, is adjustable through a spring 21 supported by the intermediate member 1 on the adjusting screw 5, the spring 21 is engaged in an end cap 3 located relative to the contact 8 and held against rotation by a tongue 29 projecting through the contact 8. Pressure is applied to the spring 8 through a projection 30 on the cap 3 substantially opposite a projection 27 of the actuator 32 which is similarly located by a tongue 28 extending through the contact 8. |
