1533735 Valve bags ANKER - SCHIFFAHBTS-GmbH & CO KG 22 Nov 1976 [22 Nov 1975] 48644/76 Heading B8K A valve bag 12 for bulk material comprises a tubular body with a closure section at each end and a filler valve 10 secured in one of the closure sections 30. The valve includes a tube 10, e.g. of paper or plastics, extending through one closure section, and spring means, e.g. an S, Z or 8-shaped wire, so attached to the tube 10 and acting against the closure section that, in use of the bag the tube is folded by the spring, as in Fig. 6, to close the filler valve. As described one end B, Fig. 3, of a spring is attached to one end 1a of valve tube 10 by adhesive tape 1 and the tube is attached by the lower side of its end 2 to the closure section 30 of a bag 12. The free portion A of the spring is then folded over and the end flaps 31, 32 of the bag folded in and secured to hold the spring in torsion. When the bag is being filled, Fig. 5, the filling tube maintains the spring in torsion, but when the bag is full and the nozzle withdrawn the spring unfolds to fold the tube 10 and close the valve, Fig. 6. |
