The buckle, particularly for children's safety belts, comprises a fixed plate and a mobile plate (PU). The buckle is operated by a push button (PO) which has to be turned to two positions at 45 deg. to each other. In the first position the belt can be freed and in the second it is locked. The fixed plate consists of an upper and lower part riveted together with a gap into which the hooks of the belt slide. The lower part has an opening complementary to the push button which has eccentric projections so that the buckle can only be unfastened in one position.
