<p>An intercommunication unit which may have an optical indicator is used for private or office communication. The unit can be fitted to a wall or on a table. The unit, described is for use on a wall. It has a wall casing (7) and a housing (8). The casing (7) is recessed in the wall (6). The housing (8) is inset into the casing (7) and is fitted by means of screws (9). The housing (8) is also a support for the functional components of the intercommunication system (10) and connecting leads (11). A connector (12,13) is fitted to the casing (7). Wall inset wiring (14) is connected to the female part (13) of the casing connector (12,13). The unit can be installed onto a wall without protrusion into a gangway.</p> |
