The vehicle passage detector uses an electronic circuit housing (2) which is placed in a hole forming part of a roadway pressure detection strip together with a rigid housing (3). In the rigid housing (3) is a piezo electric excitor (4), a piezo electric captor (5) and an anvil (6). A bolt (7) maintains the whole. The piezo electric excitor (4) and the piezo electric captor (5) are isolated by means of insulating washers (8). The housing (3) is maintained on a roadway strip by means of bolts (9). The anvil (6), the piezo electric ceramics (4,5) as well as the conductors (10) are enclosed in a filling material (11).
