A rod locking device from machine parts, has a locking ring (8) situated between end members (3, 11) of the housing (2). The ring is seated on the one end member (11) using two diametrall opposite balls (10) forming a rocking axis. The ring is biased into an oblique position inside the housing by a spring (not shown) between the ring and the other end member. The ring can be aligned with the housing axis by a screw (5) in the other end member diametrally opposite the spring. A stop (7) adjacent the spring limits the movement of the ring under the action of the screw.
