<p>The stabiliser consists of two pipes made of metal, concrete or a material of comparable strength. The first pipe (1) slides inside the second pipe (2), both pipes having a disc (3,4) on the end which is drilled with holes. These holes are used for bolting or otherwise attaching the stabilisers to the structure. On at least one end, the stabiliser has fixings (9) made of a hard brittle material. These are designed to snap in the event of an earth tremor. The stabiliser is also provided with an anti-vibration mechanism which absorbs noises or vibrations. The stabiliser is designed for use where a structure is supported by a flexible suspension system (9).</p> |
