<p>An aeration system to circulate a gas or air through a liq. for the purposes of aerobic fermentation combines the entrainment of gas on the surface of a liq. jet in motion with the entrainment of gas by impact when a liq. penetrates into another liq. at a certain speed. The liq. is circulated through a central port into a coaxial pipe and entrains a gas from a radial channel which terminates above the exit of the liq. port. Using this principle a single pump is sufficient for fermentation, discharge and replenishment.</p> |
