<p>The retaining system, for fixing flat cables to a flat surface, consists of pins passing through oblong holes in the cable to hole it against the support. The holes are located either between conductors or along the edge of the cable. The pins have heads (18), which are at the rear of the support (2), serrated shanks (17) and a retaining washer (19) that holds the cable (2) against the support. The serrations bite into the washer. Several variations are given for the structure of the pin, e.g. round-headed front insertion; rear-insertion cable-biting; smooth shank etc.</p> |
